NGO Niños de Guatemala (NDG) is looking for an Income Generation Manager to lead and develop its Income Generation Department (IGD) in Guatemala. The Income Generation Manager is a leadership position, where s/he motivates, monitors, and coaches, co-creates, and facilitates communication within the Income Generation Department. The department is a dynamic team consisting of 8 individuals, responsible for a diverse range of Programs including, but not limited to Sponsorships, Donations, Communications and Volunteer Management.
The goal of the department is to raise a major part of the operating funds for NDG’s two (2) primary schools and one (1) middle school (a current budget of roughly $500.000). The funding needs of the organization will continue to grow yearly. NDG is looking for an individual who offers the right balance of strategic thinking, problem solving rigor, networking, people management skills, and pragmatism to help us realize our mission and expand our outreach in the coming years. The ideal candidate will have experience in high-end donor management and corporate sponsorship outreach.
Job description
Management:
- Development of a comprehensive yearly fundraising strategy with quantifiable goals, corresponding to the IGD budget, to meet all NDG financial needs as determined by the overall annual budget.
- Lead and inspire the Income Generation department towards reaching their goals and objectives as set in the Annual Plan while motivating and advising them on professional growth.
- Monitor and report on all IGD programs and targets to Director and General Board in close collaboration with the Operations Manager to ensure financial and operational effectiveness and efficiency.
- Oversee communications and data management (CRM), and maintain consistent donor reporting and follow-up communication.
- Co-development and management of public relations and networking strategy (local and international).
- Head in- & external communication for IGD in good cooperation with the other branches of NDG International.
- Member of NDG’s Executive Board in Guatemala
Income Generation:
- Facilitate and participate in interdepartmental development of new fundraising and outreach initiatives.
- Expand NDG’s support network through targeted outreach campaigns, events, and personal networking.
- Main liaison for NDG’s local and international network and coordinating site visits.
- Development of and point of contact for collaborative international fundraising initiatives.
- Development of grant writing strategy and quality control of proposals and Grants.
- Country lead in the Corporate Sponsorship and Guatemala City outreach strategy
We ask:
- At least 2 years proven management experience;
- High level of confidence in both Spanish and English language skills;
- Proven experience in fundraising, grant writing, communications, and budget management;
- Academic background in social science, management, business or relevant study
- A self-starter with an entrepreneurial mind-set, with high energy willing to put high amounts of effort into the project.
- A result oriented, innovative manager, with the ability to quickly establish (intercultural) relationships.
- Adaptive management skills.
- Affinity with Niños de Guatemala and its goals and missions.
- Preferred previous employment history in central or south America
- Minimum of 2 years available for fulltime activities in Guatemala, starting November/ December 2016.
